National Geographic is publishing a special issue on water. Water Advocates and the National Geographic Society co-hosted the event "Uniting for Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation" on World Water Day to highlight new commitments in water and sanitation by the US government, philanthropic foundations, corporations, non-government organizations, civic organizations, faith-based organizations, universities, and others.
